Telephone Reassurance

Telephone Reassurance provides daily telephone calls by volunteers to homebound senior citizens. Typically, the senior citizens live alone and hear a friendly voice from someone who cares. Calls are made Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 am to 3:00 pm to assure that the person is not injured, hurt or ill. If the senior citizen cannot be contacted, West Suburban Senior Services initiates appropriate actions.

To be eligible for this program a person must be 60 years of age or older, live alone in our service area, and have no one who checks on them. A comprehensive in-home assessment is completed by one of our trained case managers. There is no fee for this service.
